Education Requirements Committee

A meeting of the GER Committee was held on
2. Those present at the meeting were Suzanne Anderson, Greg Gagnon, Devon Hansen, Adam Kitzes, John La Duke, Don Poochigian, Lana Rakow, Lori Robison, Ryan Zerr and Connie Borboa.
3. Minutes February 1. Devon Hansen moved to approve the minutes. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
4. Special Emphasis course criteria.
Quantitative Reasoning. The Committee reviewed the proposed changes to the Quantitative Reasoning criteria. John La Duke moved to adopt the language as amended. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
Capstone requirements. Deferred.
5. Request from Royce Blackburn, chair of the Music Department to designate Music 100 as a fine arts course. Don Poochigian moved to approve the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
6. Request from Philosophy and Religion regarding next year’s course revalidations. Ryan Zerr will work with the department and come back to the GER Committee with a proposal.
7. The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
