of the University Curriculum Committee
1. A meeting of the
University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, December 11, Twamley
Hall, Room 305. Charlie Robertson presided. Those present were Suzanne
Anderson, Connie Borboa, Connie Gagelin, Bonni Gourneau, Devon Hansen, Naima
Kaabouch, Mary Riske, Charlie Robertson, and Liz Tyree. Guest: Julie Anderson.
2. Minutes November 20. Connie
Gagelin moved to approve the minutes. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
3. Julie Anderson and Liz
Tyree presented Nurs 501, 507, 517, 520, 521, 523, 527, 532, 534, 535, 536,
539, 549, 550, 554, 597(2) course change requests; Nurs 540, 541, 542, 561,
586, 587, 590 course deletion requests; Nurs 502, 508, 538, 551, 564, 583, 584,
585, 588, 589 new course requests; Graduate Program College of Nursing:
Public/Community Health Clinical Nurse Specialist; Nurse Anesthesia; Family
Nurse Practitioner; Gerontology Nurse Practitioner; Nurse Education; and
Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric/Mental Health
Clinical Nurse Specialist specializations change in program requirements
requests; M.S. Public/Community Health Clinical Nurse Specialist change in
program requirements request.
Julie Anderson distributed
a memorandum which included the following information pertaining to the packet:
removing addition of Public/Community Health Clinical Specialist(CNS)
Post-Master’s Certificate requirements; removing addition of Gerontology NP and
CNS Post-Master’s Certificate requirements; removing the Nursing 590 course
deletion request from the packet; clarifying Nursing 542 course title.
Liz Tyree moved to approve
the Nursing package as modified. The motion was seconded voted upon and carried
unanimously.
4. Bonni Gourneau
presented Teaching and Learning 570, 585, 586, 587, 588 course change requests;
T&L 579 course deletion request; Teaching and Learning change in program
requirements request and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted
upon and carried unanimously.
5. Bonni Gourneau
presented Special Education 509, 515, 566, 583, 585, 586, 587,588, 589 new
course requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon
and carried unanimously.
6. Charlie Robertson
presented Avit 501, 502, 503, 504, 511, 512, 514, 515, 16, 517, 520, 595 course
change requests; M.S. Aviation change in program requirements request and moved
approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
7. Devon Hansen presented
combined B.S./M.S. Chemistry change in program requirements request and moved
approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
8. Devon Hansen presented
Dance minor new program requirements request; Thea 343, 441, 442 new course
requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
9. Mary Riske presented PT
101 course change request; Physical Therapy undergraduate change in program
requirements request; PT 513, 523, 526, 527, 539, 561, 583, 591 course change
requests; PT 584 new course request; Physical Therapy change in program
requirements request and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted
upon and carried unanimously.
10. B.B.A. with major in
Aviation Management change in program requirements request.
B.B.A. with major in
Airport Management change in program requirements request.
Bonni Gourneau moved to
approve both of the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried
unanimously.
11. IT 110, 311, 332, 397,
442, 497 course change requests; Liz Tyree moved to approve all of the
requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
12. Removed from Table
B.S. Ed. with Composite major in Social Studies change in program requirements.
Liz Tyree moved to approve the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
13. Removed from Table
BSIT: Technology Teacher Certification change in program requirements request.
Charlie Robertson moved to approve the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon
and carried unanimously.
14. Removed from Table
Biology 367 course change request. Charlie Robertson moved to approve the
request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
15. Naima Kaabouch
presented Counseling 501, 540, 555, 583 course change requests and moved
approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
16. Naima Kaabouch
presented Coun 550 course deletion request and moved approval. The motion was
seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
17. Naima Kaabouch
presented Coun 505, 552, 553, 554, 561, 562, 563, 564 new course requests and
moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried
unanimously.
18. Naima Kaabouch
presented PhD in Counseling Psychology change in program requirements requests
and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried
unanimously.
