Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee
1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was
held on Thursday, November 18, Room 303, Twamley Hall.
Chuck Moretti presided.
Those present were Victoria Beard, Connie Borboa, Mary
Cutler, Connie Gagelin, Jim Haskins, Roxanne Hurley, Nancy
Krogh, Chuck Moretti, David
Relling, Sandra Short, and Tom Zeidlik.
2. Minutes for
3. Mary Cutler presented the BFA with a major in Theatre Arts change in program requirements request (dropping track in Design and Technical Theatre) and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
4. Mary Cutler presented Rels
466 new course request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon
and carried unanimously.
5. David Relling presented Pols 311 and 312 course deletion requests and Pols 310 new course request, and B.A. with a major in Political Science change in program requirements request and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
6. Sandra Short presented Chin 201, 202, 305, and 306 new course requests and Minor in Chinese Studies: Culture and Business change in program requirements request and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
7. Roxanne Hurley presented Ling 506, 520, 521, and 522 course change requests and Ling 511, 519, and 530 new course requests and moved approval of all the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously. Roxanne Hurley will contact Linguistics regarding the length of the course titles.
8. Jim Haskins presented Fin 310, 397 and 497 course change requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
9. Chuck Moretti presented the B.S. in Electrical Engineering change in program requirements request. Chuck Moretti moved to table the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
10. Chuck Moretti presented CIEN 482 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
11. Tom Zeidlik presented Geog 455 course change request and Geog 497 new course request and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
12. Tom Zeidlik presented Anth 440 new course request and Forensic Science change in program requirements request and moved to table both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
