Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee
1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was
held on Wednesday, January 19, Room 404, Twamley Hall.
Chuck Moretti presided.
Those present were Connie Borboa, Pat Conway, Mary Cutler,
Connie Gagelin, Thomasine Heitkamp, Roxanne Hurley, Nancy Krogh,
Chuck Moretti, David Relling,
Sandra Short, Ralph Woehle and Tom Zeidlik.
2. Chuck Moretti moved to remove the B.S. in Electrical Engineering change in program requirements request from the table. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
Chuck Moretti presented the B.S. in Electrical Engineering change in program requirements request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
3. Sandra Short, Pat Conway, Thomasine Heitkamp and Ralph Woehle presented the
Master of Social Work change in program requirements request; SWK 501 new
course/SWK 510 course
deletion request; SWK 502, 503, 504, 505 new course requests; SWK 506 new course/513
course deletion; SWK 507 new course/514 course deletion; SWK 511 and 512 course
deletion requests; SWK 515 new course/SWK 571 course deletion; SWK 516 new
course/572 course deletion; SWK 517 new course/573 course deletion; SWK 518 new
course/574 course deletion; SWK 523 and 525 course deletion requests; SWK 527
new course/520 course deletion; SWK 528 new course request; SWK 529 new
course/524 course deletion; SWK 530 new course/526 course deletion; SWK 533 new
course/522 course deletion; SWK 534, 535, 536 course change requests; SWK 547,
570, 575 course deletion requests; SWK 580 new course/SWK 576 course deletion;
SWK 581 new course/577 course deletion; SWK 582 new course/578 course deletion;
SWK 583 new course request. Sandra Short moved to approve all of the requests. The
motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
4. Tom Zeidlik presented Musc 243 course deletion/442 new course request; Musc
397 new course request; Musc 443 course change request; B.M. in Music Therapy
change in program requirements request and moved approval of all. The motion was
seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
5. David Relling presented Psyc 361 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
6. David Relling presented Geog 386 new course request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
7. Roxanne Hurley presented T&L 519 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
8. Roxanne Hurley presented Comm 570 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
9. Chuck Moretti presented Hist 513 and 592 new course requests and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
10. Chuck Moretti presented the Civil Engineering Master of Engineering change in program requirements request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
11. Sandra Short presented PEXS 537 new course request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
12. Sandra Short presented the Master of Science in Educational Leadership
change in program requirements request; EDL 546, 547, 548, and 549 new course
requests. Sandra Short moved to table all of the requests pending clarification
from the
unanimously.
13. Mary Cutler presented Engl 226 new course request, Engl 305, 306, 411 and
412 course change requests and moved to table all of the requests pending
discussion with the English Department. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
14. Mary Cutler presented Chem 240, 341 and 342 course change requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
