of the University Curriculum Committee
1. A meeting of the
University Curriculum Committee was held on Friday, December 1, Room 305, Twamley Hall. David Relling presided. Those present were Suzanne Anderson, Connie
Borboa, Matt Cavalli, Connie
Gagelin, Devon Hansen, Roxanne Hurley, Assion Lawson-Body, David Relling,
Charlie Robertson, Isaac Schlosser, and Sandra Short.
2. November 17 minutes. Charlie
Robertson moved to approve the November 17 minutes. The motion was seconded, voted
upon and carried with one abstention.
3. Isaac Schlosser
presented B.S. in Biology (including pre-health science emphasis) and minor in
Biology change in program requirements requests; Biol
350 course change request; and Biol 315R, 376, 376L,
378, 480 new course requests. David Relling moved to approve all of the requests. The motion
was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
4. Devon Hansen presented
A&S 252 new course request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted
upon and carried unanimously.
5. Charlie Robertson
presented B.S. in Computer Science change in program requirements request and
moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
6. Devon Hansen presented Biol 508 new course request. Charlie Robertson moved approval of the
request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
7. Assion
Lawson-Body presented Fin 350 new course request and moved approval. The motion
was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
8. Assion
Lawson-Body presented Fin 470 course change request. Sandra Short moved to
table the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
9. Matt Cavalli presented CiEn 453 and
482 course change requests and ChE 408 course change
request and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
10. Matt Cavalli presented ME 524 new course request. Charlie Robertson moved to approve the
request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried with one abstention.
11. David Relling presented T&L 515 and 516 new course requests
and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried
unanimously.
12. David Relling presented Musc 508 course
change request; Ph.D. in Music Ed, M.M. in Choral Conducting, M.M. in
Performance or Pedagogy, M.M. in Music Ed, M.M. in Instrumental Conducting,
M.S. in Composition change in program requirements requests and moved approval
of all. The motion was seconded, voted
upon and carried unanimously.
13. Sandra Short presented
Physical Education and Exercise Science change in title for degree, department
and major. Charlie Robertson moved to approve the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
14. Sandra Short presented
PEXS 240 new course request. Charlie
Robertson moved to approve the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
