Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee

 

October 30, 2008

 

1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, October 30, Twamley Hall, Room 305. Charlie Robertson presided. Those present were Suzanne Anderson, Connie Borboa, Kate Campbell, Connie Gagelin, Bonni Gourneau, Devon Hansen, Naima Kaabouch, Mary Riske, Charlie Robertson, Seinquis Slater, and Liz Tyree.

 

2. Minutes October 16. Mary Riske moved to approve the minutes.  The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

3. Bonni Gourneau presented Graduate Certificate in Biology for Teachers new program request and Graduate Certificate in Mathematics for Middle School Teachers new program request and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

4. Devon Hansen presented Graduate Certificate in Physics for Teachers new program request and Graduate Certificate in Chemistry for Teachers new program request and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

5. Liz Tyree presented N&D 397 course deletion request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.  

 

6. Kate Campbell presented M.A. in Counseling change in program requirements and Coun 529 course change request and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

7. Charlie Robertson presented Aviation 595 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

8. Charlie Robertson presented M.A. in Computer Science change in program requirements request and moved to table. The motion was voted upon and carried unanimously.  

 

9. Naima Kaabouch presented Mechanical Engineering 290 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

10. The next meeting is scheduled for November 13.

 

11. The meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
