Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee

 

April 9, 2009

 

1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, April 9, Twamley Hall, Room 305. Charlie Robertson presided. Those present were Suzanne Anderson, Connie Gagelin, Bonni Gourneau, Devon Hansen, Naima Kaabouch, Charlie Robertson, and Liz Tyree.

 

2. Minutes March 12. Liz Tyree moved to approve the minutes. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

3. Charlie Robertson presented Computer Science 448 course change and Space Studies 595 course change request and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

4. Naima Kaabouch presented M.S. in Sustainable Energy Engineering new program request, M.Engr. in Sustainable Energy Engineering new program request and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering new program request and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

5. Bonni Gourneau presented IDT certificate in Corporate Training & Performance and IDT certificate in K-12 Technology Integration change in program requirements requests and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

6. Bonni Gourneau presented T&L 434 course deletion and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

7. Bonni Gourneau presented EDL 210, 211 and 299 new course requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

8. Liz Tyree presented Acct 301 and 450 course change requests and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

9. Liz Tyree presented Nurs 322 and 326 course change requests and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

10. Devon Hansen presented Soc 351 course deletion request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

11. Devon Hansen presented Chem 222, 22L, 461, 461L course deletion requests; Chem 254, 254L, 441, 442, 443 new course requests; Chem 333, 333L, 429, 492 course change requests; B.S. with major in Chemistry: Option A and B.S. in Chemistry change in program requirements requests and moved approval of all.

The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
