Our program is designed to accommodate students with a BS or MS in any engineering discipline. Once a student arrives on campus, we tailor that student's course of study toward their specific interest area. The student and their advisor will work in close consultation to develop a program of study that meets the basic requirements of the program and develops the background necessary to complete a successful research program while providing the student flexibility to explore other related interests. Click here to go to the UND Catalog to view all graduate courses. Be sure to click on the drop down list under Graduate Courses. In addition to those courses listed, we often teach “Special Topics” courses. The topics of these courses are selected based on the faculty and students special interests. Courses in the Energy and Environmental areas are taught though the various departments.
Note: All students are required to have a MS prior to starting on the doctoral program. If you have a BS in an engineering discipline, your MS can be in engineering or a related non-engineering field. If you do not have a MS, you will be required to complete a MS at UND in one of the engineering disciplines. |
