The civil engineering program at UND is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET) and has an excellent reputation for producing graduates ready to enter the profession of civil engineering.  Our faculty is comprised of experienced teachers, researchers, and consultants who are registered professional engineers and are dedicated to student mentoring and success.  Our program is highly regarded in four main areas of practice: structural, environmental, water resources, and geotechnical engineering.  In addition, our program exposes the students to transportation, surveying, and construction related aspects of civil engineering. Our department is fortunate to have strong alumni and industry support, which makes it possible for us to offer some very attractive competition-based scholarship opportunities for junior and senior civil engineering students.
