The University of North Dakota Student Account Services will send the 1098T tax information form by
January 31st of each year by US Postal Service to the student's home or residence hall address as listed in Campus Connection. This form will provide information for the tax credits listed below.
| What is the Hope Scholarship? |
It is actually a tax credit, not a scholarship. Tax credits are subtracted directly from the tax a family owes, rather than reducing taxable income like a tax deduction.

| What is the Lifetime Learning Tax Credit? |
It is a tax credit available to individuals who file a tax return and owe taxes. |
