Holiday Brunch Casserole
Serves 6

Start with these ingredients and mix together:

10 eggs slightly beaten
4 cups whole milk
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon onion powder
Fresh ground pepper(to taste)>

You will also need:
4 ½ cups of day old bread
¼ cup diced green bell peppers
¼ cup diced red bell peppers
½ cup sliced mushrooms
½ cup peeled diced chopped tomatoes (optional)
8 oz of browned breakfast sausage (optional)
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
9X13 inch baking dish

Directions:

  • Start by placing bread in your very well buttered baking dish.
  • Then sprinkle on the cheese.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the bread and cheese.
  • Then sprinkle you other vegetable ingredients and optional sausage and tomatoes.
  • Cover and chill overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 325 Degrees
  • Bake uncovered for approx. 1 hour. Check at 45 minutes**** if it begins to brown top with aluminum foil and continue baking for another hour. (ONLY IF IT STARTS TO BROWN!)
