Voice Mail Instructions Getting Started

Initial Login and Default Password for all Mailboxes is 258

• If the extension you call from is the same number as the mailbox to which you wish to login:
  • Dial 7-5400
  • At the prompt, ENTER THE DEFAULT PASSWORD = 258
  • Change your password as instructed by the system (a minimum of 4-digits)
  • Then Depress (3) for Personal Greeting Options
    • Depress (1) to record a greeting
    • Depress (1) for Personal Greeting (1) and record followed by (#)
    • Depress (2) followed by (#) to activate
  • Depress (5) for Personal Options
    • Depress (5) to record your name
    • The system will say your name
    • At the tone, record your name and then press (1) when finished
    • Depress (#)
• Modular Messaging knows if you are calling from an extension that has a mailbox and attempts to log you into the mailbox for that extension.
  • If you need to login to a mailbox that has a different extension from the one from which you are calling, when you hear the name of the mailbox that it defaults to, dial STAR/Pound (*#) and follow the prompts.
  • If you are calling from an off-campus phone you need to dial pound (#) and follow the prompts.

To record an Extended Absence Greeting
An Extended Absence Greeting allows a user to create a temporary greeting which forces the caller to listen to the entire greeting before leaving a message. This greeting will leave the personal greeting intact and is perfect for vacations or other times of extended absence.

Delete Messages
1. After you are done listening to the message press *3 (*D).

Undelete Messages
To undelete a message: Immediately press **8 (**U). You can not have pressed any other keys prior to doing this.
