| 1. UND Telecommunications Student Services is only for persons using the UND telephone system. If a subscriber should move within/from a University apartment, he/she must notify the UND Telecommunications Department. 2. The service period for all UND Telecommunications services is from the 26th of the month through the 25th of the following month.
3. UND Telecommunications Student Services invoices are due and payable by the due date listed on the invoice. If a subscriber's services are suspended due to lack of payment, all past due, current, and applicable reconnect charges must be paid before services can be reinstated.
4. If dial tone service is suspended due to lack of payment, a $25.00* charge will be assessed to reinstate the service.
5. If you have DSL service and the dial tone was suspended due to lack of payment, a $44.40* charge will be assessed to reinstate the service.
6. Long distance services will be suspended if an account reaches the established credit limit (usually $250.00). Long distance services will be reinstated upon payment of the account.
7. Subscribers will be charged for misdialed numbers unless Telecommunications is notified as soon as possible after the call was placed. Calls answered by answering machines and voice mail systems are considered completed calls.
8. It is considered theft of University services to:
a) Dial a number to which charges apply without an authorization code (this includes calls to toll freem numbers which charge for their services, ie-psychic hotline).
b) Dial a number to which charges apply with an authorization code other than one's own.
9. Students who are found to be dialing in an unauthorized manner will be charged a $50.00 fine. The case may be referred to the University Police.
10. Each person is responsible for his/her own authorization code and all calls placed with it. If a change in an authorization code is requested, a $5.00* charge will be assessed.
11. Telecommunications strongly recommends that subscribers do not share their authorization code. If sharing a code results in abuse, the owner of the code may be fined $50.00*. The person placing the calls will be assessed the cost of the calls plus a $50.00* fine.
12. If an authorization code is lost or stolen, the subscriber must notify UND Telecommunications. The subscriber will be responsible for all charges incurred until UND Telecommunications is notified of the loss. The code will be deactivated and a new code issued.
13. If the subscriber cancels UND service and contracts with an outside vendor, while living in on-campus housing, they must notify UND Telecommunications. There is a fee to remove UND's telephone lines from the apartments to have another vendor, this fee is to cover the time of our Technician to escort then vendors technician. In addition, the subscriber will be responsible for charges assessed by the outside vendor.
14.UND Telecommunications reserves the right to refuse service to any individual considered to be a credit risk.
15. It is the responsibility of the subscriber to notify UND Telecommunications before vacating an University apartment. The subscriber will be charged for services until a termination of services is received.
16.A phone line is required to have DSL services in the apartment. If the student wants to cancel the phone line they must also have a request with Housing to terminate the DSL services. The phone will not be terminated until the DSL services have been disconnected.
17. Calling cards from other vendors may be used; however, UND Telecommunications requests the subscriber use a nonsubscriber calling card to ensure proper billing from the vendor. Calling cards may not be issued with a UND telephone number as the card number. All calling cards assigned to UND telephone will be deactivated without notice to the subscriber.
18. Subscribers of UND Telecommunications Student Service may not subscribe to services provided by other vendors, such as voice mail. Any additional telephone services subscribed to through other vendors may be deactivated without notice to the subscriber.
