Alice Brekke, a native of West Hartford, Connecticut, graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1979 with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting. In 1987, she earned a Master of Accountancy from UND. Mrs. Brekke has served UND for 29 years in a number of support and leadership roles including Assistant to the Dean for the School of Engineering and Mines, Business Manager for the Energy and Environmental Research Center, Director of Grants and Contracts and Budget Director. For the past 11 years, she has been Assistant to the President/Budget Director. She is a Certified Management Accountant as well as a Certified Research Administrator.
