The University of North Dakota Women's Center offers a warm, friendly, growth-oriented environment. The Women's Center is located in a comfortable house which was built in the early 1900's. We’re located at 305 Hamline Street. The purpose of the Center is to provide support, advocacy, and education for the campus and community.

The Women's Center, located on the University of North Dakota campus, offers a place for everyone to meet, visit, study, bring a lunch, and/or attend meetings or programs. We invite you to stop in at the Women's Center anytime. Everyone is welcome.

A resource center is located on the second floor with a large selection of books and videotapes for students to access at any time between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or upon request.

Staff offices are located throughout the building. The Public Relations and the Library Assistant office is located on the main floor. Graduate Service Assistants and the Program Associate's offices are located on the second floor and the Director's office is located on the third floor. Computers are available for student use.

The main floor consists of a comfortable living room, dining room and full facility kitchen making it not only your “home away from home”, but also a great place for holding meetings and programs. Free coffee, tea, and great conversations are always available.

As a resource and referral center for both the campus and the community, our services include but are not limited to: a lending library, outreach and awareness programming, annual Women's History Celebration, and quiet study areas.

Earth Quilt 3

Artists and storytellers for Earth Quilt 3 were the fall 1997 UND Ecofeminism class.

The class is taught by Dr. Glinda Crawford who created the design where river is "Earth Mother" with teachings for our living with the Earth. As she states, "Teachings we must not soon forget."

Like many activities after the flood, the quilt was not finished on time. The class is especially grateful to Sue Cox and the North Star Quilters' Guild for bringing the quilt to completion in early 2000.
