1950 Tin Huts

The 50's were known as the silent generation, and many said that students of the day lacked school spirit. But one tradition that didn't die -- until the 1970's -- was the King Kold Karnival, which featured snow sculptures, a dance, and a queen pageant. Hockey became extremely popular at this time, and the Sioux won their first national championship in 1958.
