
Pilasters identical to the ones along the side walls flanked the original screen, as well (here covered by fiberglass insulation, as it was painted directly on the rear wall of the building). The entire pilasters evidently were painted gold. Those in the auditorium later were given a bland green color.

This January 1997 view shows the newly-lowered stage level with part of the original screen visible behind the insulation. The black metal boxes on the reare wall in the middle of the screen were installed in 1930 to power the electromagnetic loudspeakers for the new sound system.
