After having taken refuge in a car parked by the highway, Val wakes up in completely unfamiliar surroundings.

The car’s owner, Dustin, is unmoved by Val’s missed meetings and impatience to return home...

... but Val is finally able to convince Dustin to take her back.

After work, Val’s officemates Mandi and Tasha wonder where she has been all day.

Young couple Tiffi and Bobby enter the bar soon thereafter to celebrate a Manhattan agency accepting her photos.

Tiffi becomes furious when the bartender asks for an I.D.

Meanwhile, Mandi and Tasha invite officemate Kevin to join them in drinks as they discuss Val’s mysterious disappearance.

At the bar, they witness an altercation when Tiffi gets carded and escorted out.

As they continue to drink though the night, tongues loosen and talk turns to what Kevin knows about Wade’s past.

Out in the parking ramp behind the bar, Tiffi is excited to recognize Carter from “Sons of Poseidon,”

but is hit on by Johnny, a drunken rock band roadie, after asking Carter to autograph her arm.

An inebriated Mandi, Tasha, and Kevin stagger into Mandi’s house after the bar closes.

Tasha is newly attracted to Kevin, but Kevin and Mandi are more concerned about Val’s disappearance.

Leaving Mandi and Kevin for a bathroom break, Tasha suddenly decides she needs a shower.

Kevin, Mandi, and Tasha discuss Kevin’s social life and his relationship with Val.

After car trouble forces them to set out on foot, Val and Dustin search for help.

Looking for signs of life along the country road, all Dustin and Val run across are abandoned farmsteads.

At the office the next day, Kevin and Wade get into an argument over Val.

Later that night, Tasha and Kevin stay late at the office,

order Chinese food, and wait by their cell phones for word of Val.

At Kevin’s apartment, Kevin and Tasha learn that Val has become the prisoner of a local crime boss.

Kevin gets word of where Val is being held.

Val waits for crime kingpin Alex Montana to return.

Tasha convinces Kevin that since they’d be three against one, they should set out with Mandi to rescue Val together.
