CAST BIOS:
LEE BARNUM (“Katrina” and “switched
Alyssa”)
Lee Barnum is a veteran of local and
regional theatre as an actress, director, and playwright. She has taught
creative dramatics to children in public and private schools for many years, often
inspiring them to write their own scripts. Summers, she often goes on the road
to direct regional theatre in small towns of North Dakota and Minnesota. Lee
has appeared in some Hollywood films, and regularly does voice work for
commercials and theme parks. Lee also often performs as a clown, with her own
registered character and makeup. She has a cameo role as “Bessie” the theatre
owner in Jacobs’ next movie, Music to My Ears.
NICOLE
NELSON (“Alyssa” and “Jenny” and “Kitty/Katrina”)
During production, Nicole Nelson was a high school student in the small town of Lakota, ND. This is her first starring motion picture. She had a supporting role in the movie Dark Highways (as “Tiffi/Maryjo”) and appeared in its related music video for Sons of Poseidon by the same director. She has been active in high school drama, local art association theatre, and competitive speech. In addition to her love of acting, Nicole plays two musical instruments, sings, was on the school volleyball and basketball teams, and works as a lifeguard in the summer. Currently Nicole is excited to be studying theatre at Jamestown College.
DAVE NASH (“Rodric”)
Dave Nash has appeared in many stage
productions at the Fire Hall Theatre since retiring from the military, acted with the North Dakota Shakespeare Festival, appeared in a short TV movie about Lewis and Clark, and also
had a supporting role playing a reality-TV director in the movie Ole and
Lena.
JARED KINNEY (“Freddy”)
Jared Kinney, of Manvel, ND, has
acted in numerous high school and community theatre productions, and is a
regular in both casts and crews on the Fire Hall stage, as well as being a member of the comedy troupe “Nine
and Numb.” He had a bit part in the movie Ole and Lena and starred in the "World's Shortest Movie" Soldier Boy.
SHARON
REINOWSKI BURES (“Heather”)
Sharon
Reinowski is a native of Anamoose, ND, and graduated from the University of
North Dakota in 1999 with a degree in Public Administration. She works for
the City of Grand Forks as an accountant in the Office of Housing and Urban
Development. Sharon was active in high speech and drama clubs and now serves on
the Board of Directors for the Fire Hall Theatre. Although taking a break from acting the past year to get married and have a baby, she has appeared on stage in
several Fire Hall productions, including Night Watch, Ruby Lips Above the Water, The
Dining Room, and Steel Magnolias.
Miss Mystic is Sharon’s third movie role. She co-starred as
“Mandi” in Dark Highways, and played the part of “Hilda” in Ole
and Lena: The Movie.
