Rodric takes Alyssa out for coffee after their accident, and explains how the

circumstances surrounding his niece’s death are responsible for his sister Katrina’s state of mind.

As Rodric and Alyssa get to know each other, each is surprised by the other’s sensitivity.

Alyssa is not impressed with the snide insinuations of their waitress, Heather.

Alyssa returns home from her first meeting with Rodric and Katrina pensive and subdued,

having learned some of the secrets behind her strange family heritage and unable to convince

her younger stepbrother Freddy to take it seriously.

When Alyssa explains that her second meeting with Katrina and Rodric ended in an aborted séance,

Freddy is sure that the eccentric couple is trying to pull some sort of scam on Alyssa.

Rodric is skeptical at Katrina’s faith in the power of her herbal potions and planetary calculations.

Katrina assures Rodric that not only will the potions work, but her plans to switch bodies will benefit both of them.

Katrina laughs off Rodric’s concerns for Alyssa, telling him that

Alyssa will simply have to get used to being in her body.

Later that night, Katrina leads Alyssa to believe they will be having a séance to contact her dead daughter, Jenny.

After they take positions in the middle of a circle of Tarot cards, Katrina mixes several exotic herbs into a drink.

Katrina tells Alyssa to eat a pinch of Rosemary for remembrance before drinking the potion.

They don blindfolds and drink the potions at the stroke of midnight. Katrina takes Alyssa’s hand and tells her to concentrate.

A shudder goes through Alyssa and the candles flicker from a sudden chilling breeze.

Katrina is elated that her body transfer worked exactly as she planned,

and delights in teasing the stunned Alyssa who now inhabits her old body.

Katrina drags Rodric off with her to celebrate her regained youth, leaving a bewildered Alyssa behind to fend for herself.

Distraught and alone in Katrina’s house, Alyssa is ready to panic and decides to call Freddy for help.

He agrees to come over, but in Katrina’s body she has a hard time convincing him that she is really Alyssa.

Freddy finally realizes the truth when Alyssa describes an incident that only she and Freddy knew about.

When she suggests they go out for a late-night coffee, he asks whether she realizes how she is dressed.

Now that septuagenarian Katrina has switched bodies with the teenage Alyssa, she tries to convince Rodric

that Alyssa must not be allowed the chance to switch them back, that they’ll need to kill her.

Katrina explains another, more lucrative reason for getting rid of Alyssa in her old body,

as long as they can make it appear to be death by natural causes.
