Current Projects

2003-Present Principle Investigator with Co-investigator Dr. Eleanor Yurkovich and Research Assistant Izetta Lattergrass in Development of a Tool to Measure Member Satisfaction and Program Outcomes of a Psycho-Social Club for Persons with Chronic and Persistent Mental Illness.

Development of Community Based Clinical Sites for Mental Health Clinical Experience for Advanced Practice Nurses.

This is an ongoing project to develop and use clinical sites in the community to care for the mental health needs of people in the community.

Development of a Tool to Evaluate the Program Effectiveness/Satisfaction of Members of a Pyscho-Social Club.

Completed Projects

The Meaning of Health from a Spiritual Perspective for Punjabi Sikh and Sto:lo First Nation Peoples. This is a qualitative research project that is based in Abottsford, British Columba, Canada. My research colleague, Dr. Julia Emblen and I, used a grounded theory approach to examine what participants from these people groups say about what health means to them.

Mountainbrooke Psycho-Social Club Program Evaluation Report - June 2003. A program evaluation was conducted by Dr. Eleanor Yurkovich and myself at the request of Mountainbrooke Psycho-Social Club. The overall focus of the evaluation was on identifying what difference Mountainbrooke is making in the lives of persons (members) with mental illness. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were used in the data collection and analysis.
