Take a look at
The Environment of the Week
1/5/98
A storm is rolling in on the plains of Western North Dakota, but these
aren't plains. This is the Badlands area. Once ridden by Theodore Roosevelt
and this Roughriders, the Badlands are an area where nature has displayed
its erosional forces. Colors are beautiful as different sediments show there
banded layers in the buttes and bluffs. One can take a horseback ride around
the cliffs and enjoy a peaceful day in the Western Dakotas.
