Take a look at
The Environment of the Week
1/12/98

This is the Grand Canyon located in the Southwestern United States.
It is formed by the erosional forces on the Rio Grande as its waters cut
through the ancient layers of rock. This is one of America's most astounding
examples of erosion and natural geologic processes. It shows the power of
water over millions of years. For more on water, rivers, and other stream
processes, check out the Water Module and Northshore Earthscape.
