This is a picture of Shovel Point in Tettegouche State Park of the shore of lake Lake Superior. Water crashes against this point, eroding and sculpting the shoreline. Small kettles reveal past water swirling on the point where it eroded away the geologic material. For more on Lake Superior and Minnesota, check on our Northshore Earthscape report.
