Take a look at
The Environment of the Week
11/24/97

This is a picture of the Turtle River running through the Turtle River
State Park about 20 miles west of Grand Forks, ND. The park lies near one
of the great beaches left by the glacial Lake Agassiz. The river runs through
this till and produces cuts that provide a glimpse into the geology of glacial
till. Many organisms and native plants make there home in the waters of
the river. To learn more about Lake Agassiz or even the Red River Valley,
check out our site on Lake Agassiz in our Red River Earthscape.
