Postsecondary experiences for students diagnosed with ADHD:

Postsecondary academies for high school juniors & seniors with disabilities (including those diagnosed with ADHD).
Advising issues for college freshman & sophomores diagnosed with ADHD.
Peer tutoring & mentoring.
Faculty & staff attitudes towards students with ADHD.
Facilitating better connections between postsecondary institutions and high school programs preparing students for higher education. (i.e. mandated transition meetings).
Ways to prepare high school students to advocate for themselves once out of high school.

 

Storytelling & Language/Literacy Development

Creating a community of learners
Personal narrative to make cultural connections
Introducing new vocabulary & literary concepts
Connection to increasing reading scores
Strengthening home/school/community relations
Introducing cultural values, heroes, morals
Creating programs to get more storytelling into the classroom
