CHAPTER 15:
1. C (A could be true but it is not actually covered in your textbook)
2. B
3. A
4. D:

This one is truly tricky, but the key is to 1st write out the mRNA sequence of codons for the 3 amino acids. Remember that this will be in the 5' to 3' direction on the mRNA, which corresponds to the 3' to 5' direction on the DNA template strand. Thus, you must read it backwards to arrive at the 5' to 3' sequence on the DNA template strand.

The appropriate mRNA sequence = UUC (Phe) - CCG (Pro) - AAG (Lys). By complementary base-pairing and reading backwards the DNA template strand in the 5' to 3' direction will be: CTT - CGG - GAA or answer D

NOTE: NO QUESTION THIS INVOLVED WOULD EVER BE ON THE EXAM!!

5.  B
