Our main lab (room 234) and our tissue culture facility (room 326A) in Starcher Hall were completely renovated in 2008.

Our lab equipment

Some of our equipment is communally available in the newly established Genomics Analytical Laboratory in room 232 Starcher Hall, next door to our main lab.

In addition to major equipment (see photos below), we also have a complete line of tools in our main lab for routine molecular biology research including: analytical balances, magnetic stirrers, pH meter, hot plates, water baths, heat blocks, minifuges, orbital platform shakers, hybridization oven, 35L and 5L liquid nitrogen dewars, and a PCR hood.

Communal Biology Dept. equipment

In addition to major equipment (see photos below), we also have access to a complete line of communal equipment for routine molecular biology research including: floor model orbital shaking incubator, desktop model orbital shaking incubator, stationary 37C incubator, Beckman Coulter UV spectrophotometer, autoclave, walk-in plant tissue culture incubators, Zeiss dissection microscopes, and a Diamond Nanopure water system.
