Constructed in 1899, Chandler Hall houses Theatre Arts, the Printing Center and Institute for Ecological Studies. The building was once home to the art department, and was part of the power plant.
It was named after Elwyn Chandler in 1935, who came to UND in 1899 as a faculty member. Chandler became UND's first professor of civil engineering appointed in 1914 also served as the dean of the College of Engineering from 1925-1932.
