How to Join
UND American Society of Mechanical Engineers
Who we are: The UND ASME chapter is a group of students ranging from the Freshman to Graduate level. As a student chapter, we focus on exposing members to industry and career opportunities, providing the latest in engineering news and technology through ASME membership, and having fun! The following highlights benefits provided to you as a UND ASME member.
Industry exposure and Career Opportunities:
Meetings: ASME meetings normally revolve around a guest speaker that has industry experience in engineering. This is a great opportunity to network and learn about life as an engineer (plus FREE PIZZA is always a bonus!)
Tours: ASME will setup periodical plant tours to local and surrounding engineering related companies. This is a great first-hand experience of the equipment, processes, and technology in an engineering environment.
Career: Companies that provide a guest speaker, or host a tour are often looking for co-ops, interns, or full time engineers. ASME provides the opportunity to network and experience companies that may be part of your future career.
