Letters - University continues to buy racism with capitalism
From Don Hall
Sunday's Senate meeting proved that money can buy racism. The University
administration has decided to adopt another "Sioux" logo. This is a direct
snub of the entire Native American population, who has been fighting for
years to remove the "Fighting Sioux" nickname without avail. The
University contined throughout using the racist nickname. Now it appears
that Ralph Engelstad has bought his precious Blackhawks logo and brought
it back to UND. I am deeply disappointed in the administration's continued
support of racism by adopting a second Indian head logo.
