Housing Accommodations

We have set aside a number of rooms for the conference. You will need to phone and book the reservation yourself. Do this soon, as most rooms are only held until the middle of September. Tell the clerk that you want to reserve a room (or rooms) from the block of rooms for the UND Indian Studies Dept. or the Northern Plains Conference that were set aside.

This is not necessary for the camping facilities.

Turtle River State Park  

About 20 miles east of Grand Forks on Hwy 2 • Campers: $12/day • Tents: $7/day

Grand Forks Campground 

About 2 miles south of Grand Forks: Access from 32nd and RV Ave. South and I-29 on the frontage road by the Conoco Station. Rates are per person for both campers and tents: $18.50 for 2 people in group, and $2.50 for extra. For campers with 50 amp and higher, rate is $19.50. Phone: 701-772-6108

One of the churches in Grand Forks has also offered to provide floor space for sleeping bags and showers. Please check in at the International Centre, 2908 University Avenue, for location and further information.
