The Social Work and Rehabilitation and Human Services faculty at the University of North Dakota recognizes the requests of the Indian Tribes in the State of North Dakota to retire the Sioux logo and nickname. With respect of their requests to retire the name and logo, with awareness of the potential for abuse of the Sioux name and logo, and with a commitment to creating a culture of respect and diversity at UND, the faculty respectfully requests and supports changing the Sioux name and logo.
