Emilia is originally from Lincoln, Nebraska and consequently is a HUGE college football fan as a result (Go Huskers!). In her spare time, Emilia enjoys cooking gourmet meals for her friends and classmates with help from her favorite Rachel Ray cookbook. In her other spare time as a busy graduate student, she also enjoys distance running and has run in various 10K's and half-marathons. Her research interests include stereotypes around disability, as well as experiences of performance anxiety in special populations. Emilia enjoys her work with SAS because it gives her an opportunity to utilize her enthusiasm and cheerful personality to get other students excited about the future of Counseling Psychology. She has been known to bring a few cheers to SAS Executive Board meetings. Emilia is the co-chair for SAS.
