IEEE at UND

The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) is the world's largest professional technical society. Founded in 1884 by a handful of practitioners of the new electrical engineering discipline, today's Institute is comprised of more than 320,000 members who conduct and participate in its activities in 147 countries. The men and women of IEEE are the technical and scientific professionals who are making revolutionary engineering advances that are shaping our world today.

IEEE at the University of North Dakota has various components and monthly meetings, which we think make it a good organization for our student electrical engineers to get involved in. Throughout the year IEEE is involved in multiple local, regional, and national events, as well as host to a few of it's own. The organization also goes on a facilities inspection tour to various electrical engineering firms and leading technology companies in the Midwest.
