The Few; The Proud; The United
States Marine Corps
For over 230 years the United States Marine Corps has fought
wars, famine, forest fires, floods, thieves, budget cuts,
and extreme political policies to establish itself as the
premier fighting and peace-keeping military force in the
world.
Through it all, the Marine Corps has maintained its unending
fortitude and undying professionalism. From the hot desert
sands of Iraq and Kuwait, to the humid, poverty stricken
hills of Haiti, to the drought and famine stricken wastes
of Somalia, to the war torn skies over Bosnia, Marines have
persevered.
Every year outstanding young men and women from all across
our nation choose the U.S. Marine Corps Officer Program
as the place to begin their careers. The reasons are many,
but the opportunity is clear. As an officer of Marines,
you will have the chance to command other men and women
at a very young age, honing your skills as a leader. Regardless
of your profession the Marine Corps will prepare you to
lead.
