Star Party Information

2004 Meteorite Workshop with Allan Treiman Date: June 3,4,5, 2005
Location: Cross Ranch State Park

As the date nears closer we will update the information at this web page so that you can get the latest news about our event.

Right now we are planning for guest speakers, solar viewing, workshops, a BBQ, and the best observing you have seen.
June 2005 all sky map We will be under moonless skies which typically support up to Magnitude 6 visible skies. Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto will be up at midnight so we will be able to see some planets. There is a real chance to see our world famous northern lights, which would be the only light you will see while you observe as the park is friendly to dark sky observers and will turn off all outdoor lighting for our event. The closest town, Washburn will not even be a glow on the horizon.
