The Tinsley telescope is a 4 inch refactor. It was built in the 1960's by Tinsley as part of the Geography department new observatory by the new Ralph Englsted Arena. The Scope was eventually given to the NSAS recently by the department. Chris Millford is now requesting the assistance of the club to help restore the telescope to working order. Here are some of the pros and cons brought up by Chris and the club Pros -Activity for the club to participate in. -Help preserve the history of the Telescope. -Help preserve the history of UND. -Could be used by club members without a scope. -And to preserve a rare telescope (A 100 were made, only 2 of them are known to exsist). Cons -It would be a finacial risk. -And may require a large amount of commitment. 2. Milley's Work done at Astro Camp.
