Notes from November 14, 2005 of NSAS
(rewritten after theft of original minutes)

Meeting was brought to order by President Vishnu Reddy at 7:00 p.m.

Vishnu gave a presentation on the differences between refractor and
reflector telescopes, a kind of continuation of the lecture given at
the last meeting. He recommended brands and types of telescope that
were appropriate for the type of activity. He also gave short definitions
to some of the terminology used by astronomers. 

Dean showed us images he took with his telescope and web cam. 
He made recommendation on how to produce great images of planets by using a web cam.
He then showed us some images he took of the planet Mars, Jupiter, Saturn,
and Venus.

Jennifer also briefly discussed the 2006 North Dakota Star Party. Monthly planning meetings will start.
