Dean opened the meeting up at about 7:15PM. The meeting was held at Room 114 in the physics building.

Dean talked about the listserv for the club, to subscribe, send an e-mail to:

Dean asks that people limit e-mail to late breaking events to minimize the amount of e-mail people need to go through.

The South middle school will have a star party on September 27th. Dean would like people to volunteer to help out with telescopes.

The Dakota Science Center is having a nature hike on October 1st. They would like the club to hold a star party to coincide with the event. Milly will have the details for anyone who is intersted in helping out. It will be a combination nature walk and star party.

The Badlands Star Party on August 17-19, 2001 was a success. Milly showed his pictures, and Mike passed his around. I (Paul) have some picture on my web site. If you are interested in taking a look, follow the link.

Dean also displayed some pictures that he took through a Meade 8 inch telescope through the window in his office with a handheld digital camera. Tricia also added some of her aurora pictures that she took from near town.

Milly attended a UND clubs treasurers meeting where he found out that there is $58,000 available for club activities like trips, and up to $500 to bring a speaker to UND.
