The Residence Life Cinema Channel plays educational vignettes to inform students about issues such as safe dating and drug abuse. Some of these programs are produced at other universities but a few are produced at the University of North Dakota.

Residence Life Cinema (RLC) is a joint venture between the University of North Dakota Housing Office and the UND Television Center, and maintained by the Channel 3 and 17 Graphic Design Internship.

The Television Center is a division of UND
Continuing Education.

You can watch Residence Life Cinema on Cable Channel 17 in UND's residence halls. The channel includes an electronic billboard that lists campus events, important deadlines, tips for student success and current weather information. It also includes educational vignettes, movies and the University of North Dakota's award-winning program,
Studio One.


Residence Life Cinema is distributed to 1600 residence hall rooms on campus, with approximately 3000 student viewers. It is funded by the Association of Residence Halls and is overseen by the ARH’s AIM Board (ARH Integrated Media).
