Staff & Student Government
The Association of Residence Halls (ARH) is the overall governing body that ties together and organizes the University of North Dakota's residence hall community. ARH also represents UND residence halls locally, regionally, and nationally. ARH consists of five boards that serve the residence hall students in the areas of Policy, Budget, Programming, Food/Facilities, and Conduct.
A Wing Representative is chosen during the first wing meeting at the beginning of each year to represent the residents of his/her wing on the hall council. Many new students (just like you) are elected to fill these positions. It's an excellent opportunity to find out how hall government works. The input of the students is a vital part of the governing that ARH does for the residence halls. Again, if you are interested in getting involved, please contact your Resident Assistant.
What is AIM?
AIM stands for “ARH Integrated Media”. The AIM board is a part of Hall Government and ARH. Every hall has hall government elections in the fall and spring semesters. The AIM chair has responsibilities such as setting up the hall Website and maintaining it.
