The team is made up of about 25 or so students from all disiplines across campus. The organization started as a senior design project in 1996. Their task was to build a solar car. They accoplished that and also started something that has lasted the past ten years and has evolved into the organization it is today. A senior design project has generally been designed to aid the organization in designing and constructing the vehicles.
