Special Programs

Conferences

The NDEA meets the needs of its student affiliates by offering specially designed conferences. These conferences may include interviewing processes, writing resumes, teacher portfolios, information and research on a variety of instructional issues, salaries, benefits, and working conditions within individual school districts in North Dakota and throughout the country.

Rebates

First-year teachers who belonged to the NEA Student Program are entitled to a $20 rebate toward their NDEA dues and a $10 rebate toward their NEA dues for each year they were student members (up to four years).

Instructional Programs

Some of the various instructional programs available to students include: stress management, motivation, inclusion, discipline strategies, leadership skills, consensus building, conflict resolution, team building, problem solving, shared decision making and managing change.
