DESCRIPTION

-Often called Nodding wildrye
-Grows 3-5 ft. tall in bunches
-The leaves are coarse and flat or curled inward near the tip
-Leaves can be up to 15''long
-Flowers occur higher than the leaves and resemble wheat
-The flowers can be up to 2'' long and curve outward
-Extensive root system that is widespread, this is very useful ground cover
-Grass blooms in July-August
