My name is Jill
Thompson.
I am a senior at the University of North Dakota majoring in financial
management.
I enrolled in a Knowing Nature class to learn more about this place I
come
from, the prairie. Growing up in North Dakota, I have been
surrounded by this habitat my whole life. For this class we are
doing
a web project to tell the stories of our native prairie plants and
grasses.
I chose the Prairie Blue-eyed grass because of its uniqueness and
beauty.
I found that its story was interesting because of its flower and
grasslike
characteristics. Through this process, I gained a broad range of
knowledge on this plant and the prairie itself. The story of the
Prairie Blue-eyed grass inspired me to learn more about the prairie and
I think it will impact the thoughts of others as well.
