Description
The Verbascum thapsus is marked bt a stout, erect,unbranched, wooly stem. It typically gets to be 2-3 feet tall, although it has the potential to grow to be seven feet tall. It contains yellow flowers which bloom in July and August. The friut is enclosed in a capsule or pod. The leaves and floweres of the Verbascum thapsus have a faint, pleasant odor. The Verbascum thapsus is also known as Common Mullein. The Common Mullein is a biennial. This means that it takes two years to flower, produce seeds, and die. A single plant can produce 100,000 to 180,000 seeds which can stay viable for up to 100 years or more.
