Jon is one of
those people who just has a knack for photography. As far
as I know he has never had any formal training. Nonetheless, as you'll
see when you browse his gallery, he is an amazing photographer. Behind
these pictures there is a cool story that Jon has agreed to let me share.
You see, Jon is not the most social guy. Don't get me wrong he is one of
the nicest people you will ever meet. He is also my manager - one of the
best people I've ever worked for. He just likes to keep to himself. He
manages a pizza joint five nights a week. A combination of not spending
much time in the sun and working with flour all day gives Jon a ghostly
white appearance. The restaurant is open until 1:00a.m. and he usually
doesn't get out of there until after 2:00. After work he usually goes
home and watches movies or plays around on his computer until 7 or 8:00
in the morning. So, he goes to sleep when most people are just starting
their day. This works out fine for Jon except for a brief period of time
last summer when contractors were re-siding his apartment complex. They
started hammering away just as Jon was settling down to sleep. Unable to
sleep with all the comotion; Jon took his camera and slept outside. One
day he went to the Fordville Dam and another he went to University Park.
During one of his outings he took these photos of the Soaring Eagle
Prairie. Look closely at the photos and you will see the early morning
dew on the plants! He really took some beautiful photographs. We are
lucky to have Jon's photos in our gallery -- Thank you Jon and thanks
also to those noisy construction workers for driving Jon outside! - Jason
