The State Employee Recognition Week fund
raiser was held during the Taco-in-a-Bag event.
Donations for Soldiers' Angels were collected
and here is what the donations went towards:
Thank you so much for involving Soldiers'
Angels as your organization to direct your
funds raised at your Taco in a Bag Lunch
on September 11, 2007.
I am in awe of your generosity over and
over to our efforts to accommodate our deployed
service members needs.
I would like you to let you know exactly
how your donation will be used:
Last week I was notified that the soldiers
of the NDARNG 817th ENGR - (150 Jamestown
based soldiers from ND-MN) just arrived in
Iraq last week- to discover that 2 connexes
(similar to a railroad car) that had been
shipped ahead with their winter gear and
personal effects, had been in a storage fire
prior to their arriving into Iraq. I do know
that 7 of those soldiers are UND students,
and with your donation, we will use the funding
to assist them getting back on track with
their immediate needs.
This donation could not have come at a better
time for them.
Thank you so much!!!! "May No Soldier
Go Unloved, May No Soldier Walk Alone, May
No Soldier Be Forgotten, Until They All Come
Home"
